Services offered:
Red Shield Center: the only Hillsborough County emergency shelter open 365 days a year. Adult men and women welcome at our 127-bed Center. (No children.)
Guests, along with case workers:
Participate in self-sufficiency and personal development programs.
Receive help to transition into a more permanent housing situation.
Develop, an extensive goal-oriented program.
Are motivated to meet these goals.
Can access other support and referral services for men and women committed to regaining independence.
Recuperative Care Program: The Recuperative Care Program provides short- term shelter and case management to homeless people who are recovering from an acute illness or injury, whose conditions would be exacerbated by living on the street.
